MUSTANG SPORTS ROOF
EXTERIOR DESIGN
The Mustang Sports Roof design has a low sleek roofline, a built-in rear deck spoiler and deep simulated air scoops in the fender extensions outboard of the headlamps. New recessed tail lamps are larger, yet they retain the vertical theme of previous models. Exterior Features include:.
Single headlights contrast with the matte-black horizontal grille design which is highlighted by the centered Mustang tri-color emblem.
The greenhouse design includes vent-less front side glass and a "flipper-type" quarter window, accented by the smooth, unbroken lines of the sides and the bright metal drip-rail.
INTERIOR FEATURES
Mustang interiors have been completely redesigned for added driver and passenger comfort and convenience.
Interior features include:
Standard high-back bucket seats are thick-padded molded urethane covered in durable vinyl's in black, blue, red, ivy gold, or nugget gold.
New "uni-lock" three point safety harness for front seat occupants, plus a new locking steering column that locks the transmission and steering wheel and helps deter theft.
Door and quarter section design to provide added shoulder, hip and leg room.
Four-pod-design instrument cluster that groups all instruments and controls within easy reach and view of the driver.
Energy-absorbing armrests house the squeeze-type door handles which are recessed for protection.
